Scope
Artist website design, online shop integration, workshop booking functionality, WordPress development, visual curation.
The Context
Helen Bradbury is an established artist working primarily in watercolour, with a growing audience for both her original artwork and her teaching practice.
The website needed to serve multiple purposes. It had to function as a refined portfolio, an online shop for original pieces, and a clear booking platform for watercolour workshops. At the same time, it needed to preserve the delicacy and integrity of her work without overwhelming it with commercial structure.
The challenge was balance. Art first. Function second. Both essential.
Our Approach
We designed a WordPress website that places Helen’s artwork at the centre of the experience.
Key considerations included:
- Clean, restrained gallery presentation that allows the work to breathe
- Clear segmentation between portfolio, shop and workshops
- Online shop functionality for purchasing original artwork
- Structured booking system for watercolour workshops
- Thoughtful typography and spacing to support a calm visual rhythm
As artists ourselves, we approached the project with sensitivity to colour, scale and presentation, ensuring the digital platform reflected the physical quality of the work.
The shop and booking functionality were integrated carefully so that transactional elements feel supportive rather than dominant.

Outcome
Helen Bradbury now has a cohesive digital platform that:
- Showcases original watercolour work with clarity and confidence
- Enables direct purchase of original pieces through an online shop
- Provides structured booking for watercolour workshops
- Supports both collectors and students within one unified environment
The website reflects artistic maturity while providing the practical tools necessary for a sustainable creative practice.
