Over 1700 local people have signed a petition against a planned housing development in Quarterlands Road. The site is in the Lagan Valley Regional Park, Northern Ireland’s only regional park. The proposed development is one of several projects planned for an area which simply does not have the necessary infrastructure. Inadequate transport, lack of amenities, and flood risk are just some of the aspects that are under the spotlight of the Quarterlands campaigners.
